Getting A Better Loan

It can be useful to get a loan for many things, however, you must be careful. I mean, really careful Loans are like people they come in all shapes and sizes. There isn’t a one size fits all type of loan. A loan needs to be tailored to your specific needs, and that is why to get the best loan possible for you, gaining a working understanding of the different types of loans out there is important! Let’s see how you can get a better loan.

There are all types of fraudulent services out there which will lure you in with promises of guaranteed loans even if you have bad credit, or if you have been turned down in the past, etcetera. Many of them don’t tell you or try not to tell you, that they will charge you an arm and a leg in interest on your loan in exchange for your gullibility in using their services.

Basically, anyone who offers a loan for people with terrible credit is looking for vulnerable people with economic problems to completely rip off. Let’s take a closer look at Ronda’s story. Ronda is a Minneapolis restaurateur and a single mother who wanted to upgrade her downtown eatery.

Financial Literacy 101

Understanding financial terms is not just a requirement for business professionals. It has an important practical use for regular individuals. The tough economic climate has made loans and debts regular terms for consumers and it is advantageous to understand what they mean and their implications so that you can make an informed decision before you apply for one. This is Financial Literacy 101!

It is important to be honest about your financial position (see below…) and the way that you manage your resources so that an advisor can give you the appropriate advice about your situation. Being financially literate is important because it gives you a good perspective on the options that you have. Reading through a debt agreement or a loan application is easier if you are familiar with the terms that are stated in the documents.

A simple but effective way to nurture financial interest and responsibility in your children is to open up a savings account for them. This will make them appreciate the value of saving money and help them understand the important role that banks play in daily life. Most transactions involving the movement of money are done through the use of an individual’s bank account such as the crediting of monthly salaries, deduction of debts, a deposit of an approved loan, and the payment of bills and loans.

Never Settle For A “Default Future”!

As a person who controls future events, you know that if you’ll be continuing to do the things you’ve always done, you’ll continue getting what you’ve already always have had! Then I was thinking about Jonathan Budd’s Unstoppable Entrepreneur event, which was full of powerful messages: Never Settle For A “Default Future”!

When I heard this phrase, 1 year ago, it hit me like a ton of bricks and I realized that if I want anything to change in my life I have to make changes to my life. Those changes had everything to do with my thinking. The way I perceived just about everything in life and especially my attitude.

Let me explain. It all started with the fact that many years ago, I dropped out of high school. Despite this fact, I did well, but now I was thinking that it’s time for me to get my Diploma. I found some good online resources, such as BestGED classes, that make it so easy to prepare for the test and pass it.

The result is that I no longer feel like I have to accept a “default future” and that I am creating the future of my choice.

Stock Market Experience

For about 15 years, I’ve had the pleasure of working in the financial services industry, with 5 of them being on the retail brokerage side, my stock market experience, so to say. I wish I had a dollar for every time investors told me who they “listened to.”

Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with taking advice from others in regards to your investment needs, this is a personal finance blog after all. Nonetheless, the problem that can arise is when the advice is blindly followed and puts your investments at risk. This begs the question – who exactly should you listen to when it comes to investing?

Dangerous Talking Heads

I love watching CNBC. In fact, my young kids go crazy when I turn it on. While it shows a bit of my nerdy side, I will generally never take investing advice based off of the opinion of some talking head on the television. Why do you ask? It’s quite simple in fact – they’re there to get ratings and nothing else really. Their job is to sensationalize what is going on in the stock market, doing nothing but creating noise that can make it difficult to figure out what you should be doing with your money. (more…)

Immediate Retirement Fund now includes Solar Energy

Retirement costs have skyrocketed over the past several years, as life expectancy increases and the economy remains questionable. Today’s retirees are living eight years longer than they were in the 1970s. That gives you eight more years to enjoy your retirement traveling or enjoying your grandkids. So check out this post and learn how Immediate Retirement Fund now includes Solar Energy.

Of course, it also means eight more years of savings you’ll have to put away. In today’s economy, there are many factors that are threatening a comfortable retirement such as higher costs for basic living expenses- like gas, groceries, healthcare and of course, electricity. A well-planned retirement strategy is critical, especially as employer contributions are shrinking, interest rates are climbing and the cost of living is climbing.

Solar energy can help. New financing programs including solar leases, can immediately lower your electric bill and keep it low for years to come- with no out of the pocket investment. More people are discovering that leasing solar panels and harnessing the sun’s energy to produce their own power gives them savings, predictability, and peace of mind.
